Chicago closes out a three-game homestand with a match against the New York Red Bulls at Soldier Field tonight. Beginning at 7:30 p.m. CT, the match will be broadcast globally on MLS Season Pass and transmitted locally on 890 WLS-AM (English) and WRTO 1200 AM (Spanish).
The match between Chicago and New York marks the 69th all-time regular season meeting between the two squads. Chicago holds an all-time record of 31-21-16 against the Red Bulls since the teams first met in the Fire’s inaugural season in 1998. New York is coming off a 1-1 tie against Sporting Kansas City with a goal from Julian Hall.

- GastĂ³n GimĂ©nez makes his 100th overall MLS Regular Season start for the Men in Red, wearing the captain’s armband for the 10th straight match. GimĂ©nez is the first Argentine-born Fire player to record 100 starts with the Club. It is GimĂ©nez’s 14th straight regular season start, and 16th start across all competitions in 2024.
- Chris Brady starts for the 27th time in the 2024 MLS Regular Season. Brady has made 94 saves so far in 2024, tying his single-season career high from the 2023 campaign.
- Hugo Cuypers starts his 29th match of the regular season, making him the only player to start every MLS match for the Fire in 2024. Cuypers leads the team with 10 goals this season.
- Maren Haile-Selassie starts for the 13th straight Regular Season match and the 16th straight match in all competitions for the Fire.
- Chris Mueller returns to the Fire XI for the 13th time in the 2024 MLS Regular Season. It will be his 22nd match of the year and 44th overall career start for Chicago.
- Arnaud Souquet starts his 12th straight match. Souquet has 18 starts overall across all competitions for the Fire in 2024, including Chicago’s two Leagues Cup 2024 matches.
- Carlos TerĂ¡n starts for the second straight time, making his 14th start of the regular season.
- Ariel Lassiter makes his first start for the Men in Red since joining the Club in August. Lassiter recently returned to Chicago after joining the Costa Rica National Team for the Concacaf Nations Cup in which he scored a goal against Guadeloupe.
- Fabian Herbers returns to the starting lineup, appearing in his 201st MLS match. Herbers makes his 21st start of 2024, and his 102nd overall start for the Men in Red.
- Tom Barlow makes his third start of the 2024 MLS regular season, playing in his 24th match for the Fire this year.
- Rafael Czichos returns to the starting lineup following a one-game suspension for yellow card accumulation. Czichos makes his 25th start of the 2024 regular season.
- Defenders Chase Gasper (leg) and Andrew Gutman (leg), and midfielder Brian Gutiérrez (leg) are unavailable for today’s match.
- Available off the bench for Coach Klopas are goalkeeper Spencer Richey, defenders Allan Arigoni, Jonathan Dean, Justin Reynolds, Wyatt Omsberg, and Tobias Salquist; midfielders Kellyn Acosta, Chris Mueller and Federico Navarro; and forward Georgios Koutsias.
