Przymesław Frankowski goes 90 for Poland in 2-1 Euro 2020 qualifying victory

In his tenth cap for the national team, Chicago Fire midfielder Przemysław Frankowski started and played 90 minutes in Poland's 2-1 win over Israel on Saturday.

Lokomotiv Moscow's Grzegorz Krychowiak (4') and AC Milan's Krzysztof Piatek (54') provided the goalscoring for the Polish side, before Israel's Moanes Dabour picked up a consolation goal in the 88th minute.


The victory vaulted Poland to the top of 2020 UEFA Euro qualifying group G, giving them 22 points with one match left to play. Already qualified for next summer's tournament, Frankowski helped Poland lock up their spot in their last outing by scoring his first full international goal to help take down North Macedonia 2-0.


Poland's final match in Euro 2020 qualifying is on Tuesday, Nov. 19, when they host Slovenia at the National Stadium in Warsaw. Kickoff is scheduled for at 1:45 p.m. CT.
