Nico Gaitán's coolly-finished counterattack goal from Saturday night's 2-0 victory over Minnesota United FC has been nominated for MLS Goal of the Week!
In the 21st minute, Gaitán and midfielder Dax McCarty combined to spring the attack coming out of a Minnesota corner kick attempt. McCarty found Przemysław Frankowski sprinting through the center circle with a pass through the United defense, and the Polish international took off with a direct line to goal. Frankowski outran his defender into the 18-yard box, and touched the ball over to an on-running Gaitán for a calm finish around the 'keeper.
