Watch: Chicago Fire Academy U-16s face FC Dallas in USSDA Playoff semifinals

The Chicago Fire Academy U-16 team is one of four teams remaining in the chase for their age group's 2016 U.S. Soccer Development Academy national championship. The club is set to face top overall seed FC Dallas in the national semifinals today (Thursday) at 3 p.m. CT in Carson, Calif.

The Fire advanced to the semifinals with an impressive showing in extra time of its quarterfinal contest at Weston FC (Fla.), following a scoreless regulation by netting three goals to run away with a 3-0 victory. 


Today's winner will move on to Saturday's national championship (7 p.m. CT) to face either LA Galaxy U-16s or Real Colorado U-16s. The losing teams from today's semifinals will meet Saturday in a third-place match at noon CT.
