CHICAGO (Nov. 2, 2026) – Chicago Fire FC forward Robert Lewandowski was named to the MLS Team of the Matchday for Matchday 34 following his performance in Saturday's 4-2 win against the Colorado Rapids at DICK’S Sporting Goods Park in Commerce, Colorado. Winger Jonathan Bamba was also named to the Team of the Matchday bench.

Lewandowski received his fourth weekly honor of the season after recording the game-winning goal and an assist in Colorado. Entering the match in the 63rd minute, the Polish striker quickly got involved, getting on the end of a pass in the left channel before rounding the goalkeeper to put the Fire in the lead with his seventh goal of the regular season. He followed up his third game-winning goal of the campaign with his fifth assist on Puso Dithejane’s 88th minute strike, giving him his fourth game with multiple goal contributions in 2026.

Before Lewandowski could record his goal and assist, Bamba had a second-straight game-changing performance in the victory. After Colorado struck first, the winger got on the end of a deflected cross from right back Jonathan Dean to tap home his second goal in as many games. In the second half, Bamba gave the Fire their first lead on a similar play, scoring two goals in a match for the first time while earning consecutive mentions on the MLS Team of the Matchday bench.
