The Chicago Fire Soccer Club announced Monday that forward Michael de Leeuw has been diagnosed with a left Anterior Cruciate Ligament rupture. De Leeuw is scheduled to have ACL reconstruction surgery in the coming weeks. The procedure will be performed by Dr. Brian Forsythe at Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush.

De Leeuw, who suffered the injury in the first half of the Fire’s match against New York City FC on Sept. 30, will be out through the playoffs.
