Chicago Fire Defender Raheem Edwards Diagnosed with Second Degree Lateral Collateral Ligament Sprain

BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. (April 3, 2019) – The Chicago Fire Soccer Club announced today that defender Raheem Edwards has been placed on the Disabled List after being diagnosed with a second degree Lateral Collateral Ligament (LCL) sprain.


Edwards, who has made one appearance for the Fire in 2019, is expected to be sidelined for the next four-to-six weeks.


The Fire’s next league match will take place on Saturday, April 6 against Toronto FC at BMO Field. Beginning at 2:00 p.m. CT, the match against Toronto FC will be broadcast live on ESPN+ and transmitted locally on Univision Radio 93.5 Latino Mix.
