Tonight marks the second of three straight matches at Soldier Field this week for Chicago Fire FC, who host Toronto FC for a 7 p.m. CT kickoff along the lakefront this evening.

The Fire were defeated 3-2 by the Columbus Crew at home on Saturday, and will look to get back in the win column after winning their two prior home matches against Philadelphia and D.C. United. Toronto enter the match in 12th place in the Eastern Conference, with 19 points through 19 matches played coming out of a 2-2 draw at San Jose over the weekend.

  • Three changes have been made to the starting lineup that faced Columbus on Saturday night.
  • At fullback, both Jonathan Bornstein and Boris Sekulić return to the starting XI to spell Jhon Espinoza and Miguel Navarro. Navarro will serve a one-match suspension tonight for a red card received against the Crew on Saturday.
  • Homegrown midfielder Mauricio Pineda starts for the first time since May 22. He'll spell Gastón Giménez in midfield alongside Federico Navarro. Giménez misses tonight's match to serve a one-match suspension for yellow card accumulation.
  • With assists in each of his last two appearances, forward Jhon Durán makes his second-straight start atop the Fire attack this evening.
  • Durán served up the pass to Chris Mueller on Saturday against the Crew, who scored his first goal at Soldier Field since his arrival in Chicago. Mueller returns to the starting lineup this evening, alongside Xherdan Shaqiri and Brian Gutiérrez.
  • Saturday's other Fire goalscorer, captain Rafael Czichos, takes his usual place in central defense tonight lined up alongside Carlos Terán.
  • Goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina gets his team-leading 20th start of the campaign tonight in net.
  • Available to Hendrickson as substitutions tonight are goalkeeper Spencer Richey, defender Kendall Burks, defender Jhon Espinoza, defender Andre Reynolds II, midfielder Jairo Torres, forward Fabian Herbers, forward Stanislav Ivanov, forward Chinonso Offor, and forward Kacper PrzybyÅ‚ko.
  • Midfielder Javier Casas (health & safety protocols) and defender Wyatt Omsberg (left foot) are unavailable for selection tonight.
