Lewandowski recorded his second game-winning goal of the season to extend the Fire’s winning streak to six

CHICAGO (Aug. 20, 2026) – Chicago Fire FC forward Robert Lewandowski was named to the MLS Team of the Matchday bench for Matchday 21 following his game-winning goal in Wednesday night’s 2-1 road victory against Orlando City SC at Inter.co Stadium.

Lewandowski received his second mention on the MLS Team of the Matchday after scoring a decisive penalty kick in the second half of the match against Orlando. Receiving a superb pass from defender Viktor Radojević, the forward made a movement into the box that forced a late tackle from an Orlando defender.
