CHICAGO (April 5, 2017) The Chicago Fire Soccer Club opened registration for their 2017 Chicago Fire Summer Camps presented by Valspar on Wednesday.

The Fire will host camps in over 200 locations in Chicagoland, Illinois, and the Midwest this summer, including 11 weeks of programming at The PrivateBank Fire Pitch. The series was rated a top-12 summer camp experience by Chicago Parents Magazine, and will reach kids in Chicagoland, Indiana, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Iowa.

“Our Soccer in The Community efforts are led by Chicago Fire Summer Camps, which will operate across 200 locations in 2017,” said senior director of youth development Paul Cadwell. “The program connects grassroots soccer players and organizations with an unrivalled professional soccer experience that is a first introduction to Major League Soccer and Chicago Fire Soccer Club.”

Chicago Fire Summer Camps offer children ages 2-16 an opportunity learn from a professional and experienced staff, regardless of the child’s soccer ability level. Among the unique aspects is the Fire’s partnerships with local organizations like After School Matters, Autism Speaks, AYSO, and YMCA to maximize opportunities for all youth. This year, the Fire expect over 7,000 participants.

Registration includes a Soccer In The Community jersey, ball, and player evaluation. Participants will also receive a ticket to the Fire’s “Graduation Day” experience at Toyota Park, which includes a free match ticket for every camper, a pre-match clinic with coaches, a Chicago Fire player autograph session, visits from the team’s mascot, Sparky, and more.
