CHICAGO (September 15, 2023) – Chicago Fire FC announced today the launch of Nuestro Fire, an exclusive, Latino-focused merchandise collection. Nuestro Fire is a unique fútbol apparel line proudly inspired by Chicago Fire FC fans, crafted to celebrate, and pay homage, to the rich Latino culture in Chicago. The collection was designed in-house by Mexicana Chicago Fire FC employee, Senior Digital Content Producer, Erika Mariscal. The first Nuestro Fire collection will feature five uniquely designed items, including four short-sleeve t-shirts and a crewneck sweatshirt, starting at $30.00.

Nuestro Fire is a true reflection of the team and its supporters. The story behind this collection is one of unity, pride, and fiesta that embodies the spirit of the fans, the colors of the Club, and the connection of the community with their roots commemorating their contributions to this city, as well as their individual stories and traditions. Designed to honor the Latino culture and fútbol, this line stands as a tribute to Chicago’s multitude of ethnicities, and love for this sport that brings people together across different backgrounds, creating a place for unity and belonging.

“I’m incredibly excited for Chicago Fire FC to be launching Nuestro Fire, an all-new merchandise line – created by Latinos for Latinos,” said Chicago Fire FC Senior Digital Content Producer, Erika Mariscal.

“Fútbol is part of our personal identity, and fashion is an expression of our personality, so I merged both to create Nuestro Fire. I wanted to make the Latino community in Chicago – and Chicago Fire fans – proud by designing a collection that celebrates the different cultures and backgrounds reflected across this great city.”

“The Chicago Fire are thrilled to be introducing the Nuestro Fire merchandise line ahead of the Club’s upcoming Hispanic Heritage Night match,” said Chicago Fire FC Vice President, Integrated Marketing Megan Cantwell. “In designing Nuestro Fire, Erika brought so much passion and creativity, and was able to provide an authenticity and unique perspective that is representative of her Mexican culture. We’re so proud of her and the work she put into bringing Nuestro Fire to life.”

Each piece of Nuestro Fire commemorates the relationship between the Chicago Fire and the Latino community by combining culture, fashion, and fútbol, resulting in designs that are culturally significant by drawing inspiration from the city’s heritage, cultural diversity, and great history. In essence, Nuestro Fire serves as a powerful link to Latino families, their ancestors and shared love for fútbol. By wearing these commemorative artworks, the aficionados not only represent Chicago Fire FC but also proudly celebrate their identity, heritage, and the diverse cultural mosaic that makes up Chicago.
