Chicago Fire Academy's David Mendoza called into U.S. Under-18 Men’s National Team camp

On Friday, U.S. Under-18 Men’s National Team head coach Omid Namazi called in 24 players to take part in an eight-day domestic training camp from Feb. 4-12 in Orlando, Fla.


Among them was Chicago Fire Academy defender David Mendoza of Gage Park, Ill. Mendoza will head to Orlando with the opportunity to feature in two games to be played against the U-18 Men’s National Team of Costa Rica.


The call-in marks Mendoza's second stint with the U.S. Youth National Team set-up in 2018, after having taken part in the first-ever Youth National Team Summit in early January under the guidance of U.S. Soccer's Youth Technical Director Tab Ramos.
