CHICAGO(May 29, 2021) - Chicago Fire FC (1-5-1, 4 points) fell 1-0 to CF Montréal (3-3-2, 11 points) on Saturday afternoon at Soldier Field. Producing a 19-6 advantage in overall shots, the Fire created numerous goal-scoring opportunities throughout the match, including a game-tying header in extra time from defender Wyatt Omsberg that was ultimately ruled offside due to a subsequent video review. Despite the sustained pressure from the Fire throughout the match, Montréal managed to score against the run of play when forward Mason Toye finished a header in the 87th minute.


NEXT GAME: Following a three-week break due to the FIFA window, the Fire will return to league play on Saturday, June 19 against the Columbus Crew at Historic Crew Stadium. Beginning at 6:30 p.m. CT, the match will be broadcast live on WGN-TV, CFFC Live and TUDN 1200AM.
