Coming out of their performances in Sunday night's 2-1 Fire win over D.C. United at Soldier Field, midfielder Álvaro Medrán and goalkeeper Bobby Shuttleworth have been included in the MLS Team of the Week for Week 17.

Medrán earned his second Team of the Week first XI appearance of 2020 after assisting on both of the Fire's goals. In the third minute, the 26-year-old delivered a curling set piece pass into the D.C. 18-yard box for CJ Sapong to finish that gave the Fire a 1-0 lead. He then set up Boris Sekulić's match-winner with an in-swinging corner kick the Sekulić nodded home in first half stoppage time.

Medrán currently leads the team with six assists so far this season.

Shuttleworth made six saves -- matching his season-high -- and was named to the Team of the Week bench for his effort. The veteran 'keeper has now made 596 career saves in 196 MLS regular season appearances.

The Fire next take on Minnesota United on Wednesday night at Allianz Field, with kickoff set for 6:30 p.m. CT on WGN and ESPN+. Take a look at the full Week 17 MLS Team of the Week below:
