The feel-good vibes around the Chicago Fire of late only grew Thursday night, as the Fire handled visiting FC Dallas to the tune of a 2-1 win in the 2017 edition of the Brimstone Cup rivalry. Read up on all the latest streaks and milestones achieved by the Men In Red:
- Chicago picked up its fourth consecutive win, matching the club record for wins in the non-shootout era of MLS and marking its longest streak since 2012:

- The Fire are now 7-3-3 overall, equaling before the end of May their win total for the entire 2016 season. (They also have exceeded their win total for 2014.)
- The 24 points earned are tied for the most by the club through 13 matches, even with the point total achieved in 2001 (7-3-3) and in the inaugural 1998 season (8-5-0).
- Four points clear of New York City FC and Orlando City SC, the Fire are guaranteed to finish Memorial Day weekend in sole possession of second place in the Eastern Conference. Thursday's win also vaulted Chicago over Sporting KC for second place in the MLS Supporters' Shield standings. SKC next plays Saturday on the road to Colorado.
- Chicago is unbeaten (6-0-1) at home this season, winning five straight at Toyota Park. Their home unbeaten streak now stands at 10 dating to last season, with only one home loss in their last 23 games played in Bridgeview (all competitions).
- Chicago has scored two or more goals in four straight home games and in six of seven home matches this season.
- On the individual side, David Accam became the first player in Fire history to score a goal in five consecutive matches, breaking through with his seventh of the season and 26th of his MLS career in the ninth minute -- which proved to be the game-winner for Chicago. His 26 goals move him into a tie with Piotr Nowak and Marco Pappa for fourth on the Fire's all-time MLS list. Accam now has 31 goals across all competitions with the Men In Red.
- Nemanja Nikolic also added to his MLS Golden Boot-leading haul, netting his 11th goal in 13 matches played and his seventh in his last six.
- Recording assists on the night were Brandon Vincent -- his third in his last four games -- along with Bastian Schweinsteiger (3) and Johan Kappelhof (3).
- Veljko Paunovic kept with the same starting XI for a third consecutive match.
- Chicago claimed the Brimstone Cup trophy for the fifth time in the last six years and improved to 12-8-2 all-time at home against FC Dallas (16-21-4 overall).
- The Fire held advantages in possession (53.5%), shots on goal (4-1), corners (4-3) and passing accuracy (83%-80%).
- With the win, Chicago remained unbeaten (4-0-1) against Western Conference opponents in 2017. The Fire are now in line to play four straight Eastern Conference foes.
- For FC Dallas, the loss was the second in a row after beginning the year unbeaten over its first nine. The club was without numerous regular starters, opting to rest for an upcoming Texas derby on the weekend.
- The Fire will not play again until Sunday, June 4 when they travel to Orlando City SC, playing at the new Orlando City Stadium for the first time.
