CHICAGO (Jan. 27, 2016) – The Chicago Fire announced Wednesday that the club has signed free agent midfielder Nick LaBrocca, who joins the Fire on a one-year deal with a club option for the second year.

“Nick’s experience, versatility and comfort on the ball make us a better team,” said Fire general manager Nelson Rodríguez. “He also has a terrific work rate and will be an important role model within the locker room.”

LaBrocca most recently represented the Colorado Rapids from 2013-15. In his second stint with the club, LaBrocca scored three goals and added four assists in 68 regular season appearances.

LaBrocca began his professional career when he was drafted by the Rapids with the 35th overall selection in the 2007 MLS SuperDraft after a collegiate career at Rutgers University.
