Justin Mapp traded to Philadelphia Union

Mapp has scored 14 goals and tallied 36 assists in 174 appearances

The Chicago Fire Soccer Club announced today that it has traded midfielder Justin Mapp to Philadelphia Union in exchange for allocation money. Per MLS and club policy, terms of the trade were not disclosed.
“We would like to thank Justin for his contributions to the Chicago Fire and wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors,” said Fire Technical Director Frank Klopas.
Mapp, a nine-year veteran, was drafted by D.C. United as the fourth overall selection in the 2002 MLS SuperDraft. Since joining the Fire in 2003, the Brandon, MS product has scored 14 goals and tallied 36 assists in 174 appearances with the Fire. Mapp played an integral role in helping the Fire win the 2003 and 2006 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
