The Fire have brought in midfielder Benjamin Kabongo and striker Stavros Glouftsis on trial. The pair began practicing with the Fire Tuesday morning and, if the pattern seen with previous trialists holds, the they will have a week to ten days to impress the club.

Glouftsis, 28, is a Greek striker who has spent most of his career toiling in the Belgian second and third divisions. He most recently played for Belgian third division side K Rupel Boom FC, where he scored 27 goals in 34 appearances last year.

Kabongo, 23, is a Belgian midfielder that last played for V.C. Eendracht Aalst, also of the Belgian third division.

This is the third time in the regular season that the Fire has brought in players on trial. Croatian midfielder Filip Tapalovic and English midfielder Danny Spiller each had a shot with the club, but neither did enough to earn themselves a contract.
