Background (School, Job): I am currently in the STEPS Transition Program @ IPSD 204. Next year I will attend Technical Center of DuPage studying Early Childhood Education. I am employed as a Utility Clerk at Jewel-Osco in Naperville and have been there 2 ½ years.

Accomplishments: Making the Chicago Fire Soccer Team! I also have received 2 Silver medals in basketball and a Silver medal in Soccer playing Special Olympics. Another accomplishment is I played percussion in the Neuqua Valley High School Marching Band for 4 years. In my senior year, we played halftime at The Outback Bowl football game in Tampa, Florida.

Impact Special Olympics has had on you and/or your family: Special Olympics have allowed me to participate in organized sports that I may not have otherwise gotten a chance to play. It has allowed me to be on teams with my friends and meet people. My family comes to all my games to cheer me on!

Why is being a member of the Chicago Fire All Star Team important to you? I love to play soccer. I was so excited to hear I was picked to train and play for the Chicago Fire. I can’t wait to meet the Chicago Fire players!
