The Chicago Fire resume play in the 2019 Carolina Challenge Cup on Wednesday night when they take on MLS expansion side FC Cincinnati at MUSC Health Stadium in Charleston, S.C. (6:30 p.m. CT | Stream: CharlestonBattery.com).

Chicago enter the match having drawn 1-1 against Columbus Crew SC on Saturday in the tournament opener, with Djordje Mihailović finding the net for the Fire. They'll now look to use Wednesday’s match to continue sharpening themselves for the 2019 MLS regular season opener on Saturday, March 2 on the road against the LA Galaxy (7 p.m. CT | FS1).

FC Cincinnati opened their #CCC19 with a 2-1 win over hosts Charleston Battery via goals from forwards Fanendo Adi and Darren Mattocks and currently sit atop the tournament’s four-team table with three points. The Fire are currently in second place, level with Columbus Crew SC at a point a piece.

These two sides won’t square off in an official capacity until Saturday, July 13 (7 p.m. CT, ESPN+ | TICKETS), when FCC make their first-ever trip to SeatGeek Stadium for the two clubs’ inaugural meeting in MLS regular season play.

Following Wednesday night’s match, the Fire will conclude their Carolina Challenge Cup run with a Saturday evening kickoff against the Battery (6:30 p.m. CT) before returning to Chicago to wrap up preseason camp.
