As his MLS adventure became a reality, new Chicago Fire DP striker Nemanja Nikolic stepped off his trans-Atlantic flight to a tremendous welcome from Fire supporters Friday at O'Hare Airport.
After closing his impressive tenure with Legia Warsaw last month, Nikolic has spent recent weeks on holiday with his family and gearing up for his move to Chicago, where the Fire are due to report for preseason camp on Monday. Nikolic set off early Friday from Warsaw, prepared to take on his new challenge:
As he stepped through Terminal 5 at O'Hare, he was greeted by a vocal throng of Fire faithful representing Section 8 Chicago and Sector Latino, who dedicated their Friday nights to giving Niko a proper welcome:
