  • One change has been made to the lineup that had previously started all four of the Fire's first matches of the season together. Midfielder Federico Navarro will replace defender Rafael Czichos, who is unavailable tonight due to health and safety protocols.
  • Navarro appeared 12 times for the Fire after arriving late in the 2021 season, and has made three appearances as a substitute so far this season. He'll join Gastón Giménez as a tandem midfield this afternoon.
  • With Czichos sidelined, midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri will wear the captain's armband today. Shaqiri scored his first goal for the Fire in the team's 3-1 win over Sporting Kansas City last time out, and has returned from the international break with Switzerland where he registered an assist in a friendly against England last week. He'll take his usual spot in the center of the Fire midfield, flanked by forwards Stanislav Ivanov and Fabian Herbers.
  • Forward Kacper PrzybyÅ‚ko leads the attacking line today for the fifth-straight match. PrzybyÅ‚ko scored his first two Fire goals in the team's win against Kansas City two weekends ago, and will look to make it a streak this afternoon.
  • Today's defensive back line will consist of Boris Sekulić, Mauricio Pineda, Wyatt Omsberg, and Miguel Navarro. Sekulić and Navarro were also involved in international competition over the last week with Slovakia and Venezuela, respectively.
  • 17-year-old Homegrown goalkeeper Gaga Slonina will take his usual spot between the sticks this afternoon, looking for his fourth clean sheet of the young season.
  • Available to Hendrickson as substitutions tonight are goalkeeper Spencer Richey, defender Kendall Burks, defender Jonathan Bornstein, defender Carlos Terán, defender Jhon Espinoza, midfielder Javier Casas Jr., midfielder Brian Gutiérrez, forward Jhon Durán and forward Chinonso Offor.
