NASHVILLE, Tenn. (April 26, 2025) – Chicago Fire FC takes the field Saturday night in search of a league-best fourth road win of the season against Nashville SC at GEODIS Park. Kickoff in the Music City is slated for 7:30 p.m. CT, and the match will be broadcast across the globe on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV, and transmitted locally in English on wlsam.com and in Spanish on Que Buena Fire via the Uforia App.

Chicago Fire FC Director of Football and Head Coach Gregg Berhalter has named the following Starting XI, looking to add to the second best road record in the league:

  • Two changes have been made to the Starting XI that featured twice in a row against Inter Miami CF and FC Cincinnati the last two weeks.
  • Midfielder Kellyn Acosta will be tasked with leading the Fire from the center of the pitch, replacing Sergio Oregel, Jr. in the XI. The captain will make the 293rd appearance of his career and 32nd start in regular season play for Chicago.
  • Helping Acosta in the midfield will be Mauricio Pineda, who makes his third consecutive start and sixth in the last seven matches for Chicago. They will be joined by Homegrown attacking midfielder Brian Gutiérrez, who will look for his fourth goal of 2025 after scoring his third last Saturday against FC Cincinnati.
  • After replacing Carlos Terán (Lower Body) at center back last week in the 21st minute, Sam Rogers returns to the XI starting at center back. He will line up alongside fellow center back Jack Elliott, who makes his ninth start of the season.
  • Chris Brady makes the tenth start of the season in as many games for the Fire this year. The Homegrown goalkeeper will be tasked with keeping the 14th clean sheet of his career after recording five saves in last week’s match against Cincinnati.
  • Omari Glasgow makes his third start in a row at right back in place of Leonardo Barroso (Lower Body). He is joined by Andrew Gutman at left back, who has started in every match of the season on his way to 110 regular season starts in his MLS career.
  • Looking for a league-leading seventh goal of the season is forward Hugo Cuypers, who makes the 41st start of his career in Major League Soccer.
  • After assisting Cuypers last week against Cincinnati, winger Jonathan Bamba will hope to add another assist to also lead the league in the category. Opposite from Bamba is Philip Zinckernagel, making the ninth start of the year.
  • Beside Barroso and Terán, defender Chase Gasper (Lower Body), and midfielders Rominigue Kouamé (Lower Body), David Poreba (Lower Body) and Chris Mueller (Not Due to Injury) will not be available for selection tonight.
  • Available off the bench are goalkeeper Jeff Gal; defenders Jonathan Dean, Omar González, Justin Reynolds and Christopher Cupps; midfielders Maren Haile-Selassie, Sergio Oregel, Jr. and Dje D’Avilla; and forward Tom Barlow.
