The interconference clash is scheduled to kick off at 7:30 p.m. CT and will be broadcast globally on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV. The match will be transmitted locally on wlsam.com (English) and Que Buena Fire via the Uforia App (Spanish). A replay will be available at 7:00 p.m. CT on Monday, Sept. 22 on Marquee Sports Network.
With four matches remaining in the 2025 regular season following the conclusion of the matchday, Director of Football and Head Coach Gregg Berhalter has named the following Starting XI tasked with getting three key points against Minnesota:
- One change has been made to the Starting XI that last faced New York City FC last Saturday at Soldier Field.
- Defender Sam Rogers returns to the backline for his 17th start of 2025. Rogers will line up alongside center halves Joel Waterman and captain Jack Elliott to shore up the Fire defense.
- Jonathan Dean and Andrew Gutman will line up as wingbacks on the right and left, respectively. They will aid in the defense of a goal manned by goalkeeper Chris Brady, who starts his 24th match of the campaign.
- Midfielder André Franco is back for his third consecutive start in the center of the pitch alongside Dje D’Avilla. Both will be joined by Jonathan Bamba and Philip Zinckernagel, the latter of whom will look for a goal in a third straight match.
- Alone at the top will be forward Hugo Cuypers, who seeks his 17th goal of 2025 and 27th all-time with the Fire. With a game-winning goal tonight, the Belgian striker’s six would be tied for second-most in a single season with Ante Razov in 2000 and only one behind Razov’s seven in 1999.
- Unavailable for selection tonight is midfielder Chris Mueller (not due to injury).
- Available off the bench are goalkeeper Jeff Gal; defenders Leonardo Barroso and Omar González; midfielders Rominigue Kouamé, Maren Haile-Selassie, Brian Gutiérrez, Kellyn Acosta and Sergio Oregel Jr.; and forward Tom Barlow.
