Starting XI List 1920x1080 (10)

Chicago traveled to the West Coast to face a Los Angeles Galaxy team that has several new faces compared to the beginning of the season.

Chicago Fire Head Coach Frank Klopas returns to the bench after missing last Sunday’s match due to health and safety protocols. Kickoff at Dignity Health Sports Park is set for 9:30 p.m. CT and fans can follow all the action on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV, and locally via 890 WLS-AM in English and TUDN 1200 AM in Spanish.

Learn more about tonight’s starters in the lineup notes below:

  • Goalkeeper Chris Brady returns to the starting lineup for the 21st time during the 2023 MLS regular season, and the 24th time overall. Brady started in net for all three of Chicago’s Leagues Cup 2023 matches, obtaining a knock in the game against Club América that kept him out of the lineup last Sunday against Orlando.
  • Captain Rafael Czichos returns to helm the backline from the outset, joining Jonathan Dean, Carlos Terán and Miguel Navarro.
  • Midfielder Federico Navarro returns to the Starting XI for the first time since June 24 against Sporting Kansas City. He joins Gastón Giménez in the middle of the park for the seventh time this season.
  • It is the ninth-straight regular season start for Giménez, and the 13th-straight across all competitions for the Argentine midfielder.
  • Fabian Herbers spells Maren Haile-Selassie, joining midfielders Xherdan Shaqiri and Brian Gutiérrez in the midfield.
  • Striker Kei Kamara will lead the attack from the opening whistle, playing in his 413th career match. With the start, Kamara ties Chris Wondolowski for fourth place in MLS all-time appearances.
  • Available off the bench for Head Coach Frank Klopas are goalkeepers Jeff Gal and Spencer Richey; defenders Alonso Aceves, Arnaud Souquet and Wyatt Omsberg; midfielders Ousmane Doumbia, Maren Haile-Selassie and Jairo Torres; and forward Georgios Koutsias.
  • Defender/midfielder Mauricio Pineda (yellow card accumulation), midfielder Chris Mueller (right upper leg) and forward Victor Bezerra (right lower leg) will not be available for tonight’s match.
