A Letter From Logan Pause to All Chicago Fire Supporters | #ThanksLogan

Logan Pause farewell supporters DL

Dearest Fire Supporters,

As I am now officially retired from the game of professional soccer, I wanted to express my deepest gratitude to each of you for the support, care and love you have given me and continue to give this club and team. The past 12 years have been filled with so many special memories, including the euphoric feeling of winning games, lifting trophies and moving into our own stadium. All of these special memories would not be what they are without your unconditional support for this team. You have all played a massive role in the success and victory of this great club, so thank you.

As for Section 8 Chicago and Sector Latino, it has been with great TRADITION, HONOR and PASSION that I wore the badge each day for the past 12 years. I never took the responsibility to represent you, this club and city lightly. Through rain, sleet and snow you are always, and I mean always, standing and many times with a hand to lift each of us off the ground, ready to compete, fight and battle once again. May you all feel cared for, supported and appreciated for many years, just as you have done for each of us.

I know the past few years have been frustrating, challenging, and in many ways, disappointing.  As Fire Supporters, you all deserve more. As I step away from the game I love that has given me so much, I am excited to say I believe that all you and this club deserve will soon be fulfilled. The future here is bright and I am so excited and privileged to join you all in supporting this great team and club.

Today is a day of joy and celebration. Although I will miss each of you, having had the opportunity to play in front of you each week has filled my soul. I am walking away with joy in my heart, ready to join you in the stands.  I am looking forward to joining you all in celebrating this club's future success.

With gratitude,

Logan Pause
