Chicago Fire FC eMLS player Guillermo Treviño -- known by handle Kid M3mito -- competed in the final two nights of eMLS League Series One qualifying on Tuesday and Wednesday, finishing with five wins and a loss across both nights.

This week’s contests were the second in a pair of qualifying rounds ahead of this weekend’s League Series One Tournament, in which the top eight finishers in qualifying will compete for a place in the tournament’s Grand Final held on Jan. 17.

Kid M3mito wrapped up qualifying with a 3-2 win over CF Montréal's mehdibob3 and a 3-1 win against St. Louis City's HASIB. Despite the strong finish to the qualifying campaign, he ultimately finished one point shy of qualification for this weekend’s tournament.

After 14 matches played, Kid M3mito compiled 25 points with a record of 8-1-5.

League Series One is just the first of three eMLS tournaments in 2021.

Kid M3Mito will get his next crack at eMLS competition early next month, when League Series Two qualifying begins on Feb. 2-3. He’ll play seven matches across both nights, before playing five more matches in a second round of qualifying held on Feb. 9.

Similar to League Series One, the top eight qualifiers will then advance to the League Series Two Tournament, for which they’ll compete in a seeded bracket for a place in the Grand Final. The tournament can be viewed at, on, or on the free MLS app.

First up on Kid M3mito’s League Series Two qualifying schedule is Philadelphia’s cisseSZN, who finished in fourth place in League Series One qualifying. The pair will kick things off on Feb. 2 at 7:30 p.m. CT

Qualifying records from both League Series One and League Series Two count toward the overall eMLS standings, and will help determine which competitors advance to the eMLS Cup Playoffs in March.
