Chicago Fire FC forward Ignacio Aliseda and midfielder Álvaro Medrán have been named to the Week 11 MLS Team of the Week for their highlight-reel performances in Saturday's 3-0 win vs. Atlanta United.
The Fire took the lead in the 34th minute when Medrán made a remarkable run down the middle of the field and found Aliseda at the top of the box. The Young Designated Player secured his first goal of the season when he blasted a shot that deflected off Atlanta midfielder Mo Adams and hit the crossbar before finding the net.
Aliseda bagged his brace in first half stoppage time when defender Miguel Navarro intercepted a pass and found the Argentine, who confidently curled the ball into the corner of the net.
Chicago capped off the emphatic victory in the 58th minute when four consecutive one-touch passes, Aliseda and Medrán included, created an opening for Przemysław Frankowski to notch his first goal of the season.
Up next, the Fire will play their final game of a four-game homestand at Soldier Field, taking on Orlando City SC on Wednesday, July 7. The match will begin at 7:00 p.m. CT and will be broadcast nationally on UniMás, TUDN, Twitter (English audio) and TUDN 1200AM.
