In recent years, the annual Fire-Earthquakes meeting has been anything but boring. Dating back to 2013, the two teams have combined to score at least five goals in four of their seven matches played. Six of those seven matches have featured at least three goals. The Fire are 4-3-0 against San Jose in that span.
