The series decider in the 2000 MLS Cup playoffs between the Fire and Revolution was expected to be a tight match as the sides split the first two games. What occurred though was a rout no one saw coming as the home side dropped a 6-0 decision on New England to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals and eventually the 2000 MLS Cup.
