Fire, FC Dallas Play to 0-0 Draw in 2022 Preseason Friendly

In the team's third of four 2022 preseason friendlies, Chicago Fire FC battled FC Dallas to a 0-0 draw on Wednesday at St. David’s Performance Center in Austin, Texas.

Head coach Ezra Hendrickson deployed a mixture of young players and team veterans in his starting lineup, prior to swapping in an almost entirely different XI in the 60th minute of the match. Wednesday's contest saw 2022 MLS SuperDraft pick Kendall Burks get his first on-field action for the Fire as second-half substitution for Carlos Terán. The Fire will wrap up their preseason slate this Saturday, Feb. 19, with an 11:30 matchup against hosts Austin FC. Saturday's match will not be streamed, but fans are invited to follow the Fire on Twitter for updates and match highlights as they become available.

After the conclusion of Saturday's match, the Fire will return to Chicago briefly prior to departing for their 2022 season opener on the road against Inter Miami FC. That match kicks off at 5 p.m. CT on Saturday, Feb. 26.
