CHICAGO (Sept. 26, 2026) – Chicago Fire FC today announced that the Club has signed Chicago Fire FC II midfielders Oscar Pineda and Brody Williams to short-term agreements. Pineda and Williams will be available for today's Chicago Fire FC road match against Charlotte FC at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C.
Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. CT and the match will be broadcast globally on Apple TV, and transmitted locally on wlsam.com in English and TUDN Chicago 106.7-HD2 and Uforia by TREBEL app in Spanish.
Pineda, 18, became a fixture on the Chicago Fire II lineup in 2026, playing in 26 MLS NEXT Pro matches (23 starts). He made his second team debut in March 2025, and followed it with a call-up to the Mexico U-17 Men’s National Team, with whom he played all five matches of the 2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup last November.
Williams, 16, joined Chicago Fire II in March 2025 from Barça Residency Academy in Arizona. Williams made his professional debut on Sept. 28, 2025, against Atlanta United II. He played a personal high 11 games for Chicago Fire II in 2026 and registered two goals.
It is the first short-term agreement for both Pineda and Williams. Per MLS rules, a Club may sign a player from its affiliate (MLS NEXT Pro or USL) to a maximum of four Short-Term Agreements (up to four-day contracts) each season (maximum of 16 days). An individual player may be included on up to four MLS regular season match rosters each season. However, that player may appear in no more than two MLS regular season matches. An individual player may appear in any number of non-league games during the terms of his four Short-Term Agreements.
