Chicago Fire FC Name Jeroen van den Bergh Chief Strategy Officer

CHICAGO (Dec. 8, 2021) - Chicago Fire FC today announced the Club has hired Jeroen van den Bergh as Chief Strategy Officer. He joins the Fire after spending the past three years as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development for Allied Sports in New York City.

“Jeroen’s insight in business management, growth strategy and strategic mindset is a perfect fit to help deepen the Club’s connection with current and future partners,” said President of Business Operations Ishwara Glassman Chrein. “As the Club enters the next phase of growth, he will play a critical role in enhancing all revenue streaming areas through innovation and collaboration.”

Van den Bergh will report to Glassman Chrein and will lead strategic planning initiatives that guide decision making along with growth and operational objectives. Van den Bergh will also be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities and driving strategic growth initiatives, with a particular focus on enhancing partnership development.

Van den Bergh joined Allied Sports upon its inception in 2019, where he helped the company become a leader in entertainment, sports and lifestyle marketing. During his time at Allied Sports, he oversaw business operations management, financial modeling, growth strategy and financial and key operational responsibilities. Prior to joining Allied Sports, van den Bergh spent nearly five years at Endeavor, formerly IMG. He was part of the business intelligence and finance team before becoming Senior Director of Business Operations and Strategy. At Endeavor, he was responsible for integrating multiple areas of the business, including developing processes for cost management, SOW writing, account building and negotiation, while also providing client facing services such as prospecting and relationship management.

A graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, van den Bergh later earned a master’s degree (MBA) specializing in Strategy, Leadership and Change Management, and Marketing from NYU Stern School of Business. Born in the Netherlands, Van den Bergh moved to Indianapolis after residing in England, Germany and Venezuela and is fluent in German, Dutch and English.
