CHICAGO (Sept. 3, 2026) – Chicago Fire FC today announced that the Club has acquired South Florida native Noah Allen from Inter Miami CF on loan, with a permanent trade option following the 2026 season. Allen will occupy a U22 Initiative Slot. The agreement was completed prior to the close of the Secondary Transfer Window.
“As a young defender who has developed through the MLS ranks, Noah has consistently shown that he can compete at the highest levels of Major League Soccer,” said Chicago Fire FC Director of Football and Head Coach Gregg Berhalter. “What stands out is his competitive mentality, his drive to improve and his versatile skill set. He has valuable experience for his age, and we believe he has the qualities to make an impact on this team.”
A product of the Inter Miami Academy system, Allen, 22, signed as a Homegrown Player for the Florida side in 2022 and made his MLS debut against Chicago Fire on February 26 that same year. He became an important member of the squad that secured the Leagues Cup 2023 championship and the 2024 MLS Supporters’ Shield. Allen has also helped Miami obtain MLS Cup 2025, starting and playing 90 minutes in the final.
Allen was a member of the U.S. U-20 Men’s National Team that captured the 2022 Concacaf U-20 Championship alongside Chicago Fire goalkeeper Chris Brady. He has performed at the highest level in major international competitions for both club and country, recently being named Best Young Player and included in the Best XI for the 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup.
At the international level, Allen represented the U.S. U-20 Men’s National Team before completing a one-time change of association to compete for Greece. Allen has eight caps with the Greece U-21 Men’s National Team, including seven in UEFA Euro Under-21 qualification.
