Chicago Fire Academy Product Named to U.S. U-20 Men’s National Team Roster

CHICAGO(March 16, 2016) – Indiana/Chicago Fire Academy midfielder Cameron Lindley has been selected to the 22-man roster by U.S. Under-20 Men’s National Team Head Coach Tab Ramos for the 2016 Dallas Cup from March 20-26.


The U-20s will compete in Group A of the Gordon Jago Super Group and face Mexico’s FC Monterrey Rayados, English side Fulham FC and German side TSG 1899 Hoffenheim.


This is the U-20s first tournament of the year. Lindley took part in the most recent training camp held in Miami, Fla., and started in a 3-0 win over SIMA Montverde on Jan. 8.


The Dallas Cup is the first step in the process of forming the roster for the 2017 CONCACAF U-20 Men’s Championship from which four teams will earn a berth to the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup in South Korea.


A midfielder from Carmel, Ind., Lindley was part of the Chicago Fire U-18 side that captured the 2014-15 U.S. Soccer Development Academy national championship on July 18, 2015.
