Chicago Fire FC defender Francisco Calvo started for the Costa Rica Men's National Team on Thursday night in a 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying draw against Honduras.

Calvo played 90 minutes in what ended as a 0-0 draw at the Estadio Olímpico in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. The appearance was Calvo's 60th of his senior international career.

Thursday's result kept Costa Rica in fifth place in the eight-team Concacaf standings. The top three teams in the table will automatically qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, while the fourth-place team will advance to a continental playoff.

Through four qualifying matches played, Los Ticos are 0-3-1 entering their next match of qualifying - a home fixture against El Salvador at 5:05 p.m. CT on Sunday, Oct. 10, at the Estadio Nacional in San Jose, Costa Rica.

They'll wrap up the current international break with a match against the United States at 6:00 p.m. CT on Wednesday, Oct. 13 at Columbus' Lower.com Field.
