Chicago Fire FC II returns to SeatGeek Stadium after a two-game road trip to face Eastern Conference foe Crown Legacy FC on Monday, June 30.
Chicago returns home in the midst of a seven-game unbeaten streak that has placed the team solidly in playoff position. The Fire are coming off a victorious trip to South Florida, where they faced Inter Miami CF II. Jason Shokalook opened the scoring with his fourth of the season before Miami equalized. But a second half brace by midfielder Trip Fleming gave Chicago a 3-1 lead that lifted them to fifth in the Eastern Conference.
Crown Legacy FC arrives in Bridgeview following a wild 3-3 draw on the road against Huntsville City FC on June 20. Three different scorer tallied, tying the match twice en route to a point away from home. The visitors converted four of their five kicks in the shootout, enough to take an additional point from Huntsville on a Friday night affair.
The Monday night fútbol matchup will be the only meeting between the two sides in 2025. Crown Legacy have a 3-1-0 lead in the all-time series against Chicago. But the Fire won their last matchup at SeatGeek Stadium, a 2-0 win on April 10, 2024 that featured defender Diego Konincks’ first goal with Chicago, as well as forward David Poreba’s first goal of his 2024 MLS NEXT Pro MVP campaign.
