BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. (Sept. 20, 2026) – Chicago Fire FC II (10-12-6-3, 39 points) closed out the 2026 MLS NEXT Pro season with a 1-0 loss against Chattanooga FC (17-6-7-4, 56 points) on Sunday afternoon at SeatGeek Stadium.

With neither side able to break through in the first half, the MLS NEXT Pro Decision Day match was decided on a goal from Chattanooga FC captain Alex McGrath in the 52nd minute. The victory gave Chattanooga the top seed of the Eastern Conference table momentarily, before Crown Legacy FC overcame an early deficit to clinch it.

Following the match, Jason Nemo (U-17 USMNT - 2010), Christopher Morales (U-17 USMNT - 2010) and Vitaliy Hlyut (Ukraine U-19) will travel with their respective national teams for international friendly matches.
