Chicago Fire FC II Midfielder Harold Osorio Called Up to El Salvador National Team for September International Window

CHICAGO (Sept. 2, 2025) – Chicago Fire FC II midfielder Harold Osorio has been called up to the El Salvador National Team for two 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches during the September International Window.

The final round of the Concacaf Qualifiers to the 2026 FIFA World Cup kicks off for the Concacaf region with El Salvador placed in Group A along with Guatemala, Panama and Suriname. La Selecta opens their campaign on the road against Guatemala at 9:00 p.m. CT on Thursday, Sept. 4, at the Estadio Cementos Progreso in Guatemala City, Guatemala. The team led by Hernán Darío Gómez then plays host to Suriname at 7:30 p.m. CT on Monday, Sept. 8, at the Estadio Cuscatlán in San Salvador, El Salvador.

El Salvador advanced to the final round after finishing in second place in Group F during the second round of Concacaf Qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. La Selecta (eight points) finished behind Suriname (10 points) and ahead of Puerto Rico (seven points), Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (three points) and Anguilla (zero points).

Earlier this year, Osorio was part of the El Salvador squad that participated in the 3-0 win against Anguilla and the 1-1 tie against Suriname in June, as well as in the 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup. Osorio saw action in all three of El Salvador’s group stage matches.
