BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. (Aug. 15, 2026) – Chicago Fire FC II (9-7-6-3, 36 points) earned a 2-0 victory against Orlando City B (8-8-7-4, 35 points) on Sunday afternoon at SeatGeek Stadium.
Robert Turdean and Damyan Villanueva each scored once for the Fire to register the team’s third victory in the last four matches. With the victory, Chicago moved up four positions to sixth place in the Eastern Conference.
It took 13 minutes for Chicago Fire II to get on the board when Damian Nigg served a ball to Turdean on the left side of the box. Turdean took a settling touch just outside the top of the box before sending a well-placed shot from mid-distance past the outstretched arms of Tristan Himes that nestled into the side netting on the right side of the goal.
Villanueva doubled the lead in the 74th minute with his fifth goal of the season. The play began with the backline as Jack Sandmeyer sent a ball up to Dylan Borso, who slipped it to Villanueva on the right. Villanueva carried the ball across toward the left, sending a low, direct shot from just outside the box into the lower right side of the goal.
Goalkeeper Jason Nemo Jr. anchored a backline that secured the team’s fifth shutout of the season, recording five saves against Orlando City B.
