The Palatine, Ill. native will join Chicago Fire FC II’s roster ahead of the team’s MLS NEXT Pro Eastern Conference semifinal match at New York Red Bulls II
CHICAGO (Oct. 25, 2025) – Chicago Fire FC today announced that the Club has terminated Dean Boltz’s loan to USL League One side Forward Madison FC. Boltz will be available for Sunday’s MLS NEXT Pro Eastern Conference semifinal between Chicago Fire FC II and New York Red Bulls II.
Boltz, 19, is one of four players in the 2025 Generation adidas class and was selected by the Fire as the third overall pick in MLS SuperDraft 2025. The forward played in 20 games (11 starts) for Chicago Fire II in 2025, registering three goals and one assist, before being loaned to Forward Madison on Aug. 26.
Prior to joining the Fire, Boltz attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he started all 15 matches in which he played for the Badgers and also earned All-Big Ten Second Team, All Freshman Team, and United Soccer Coaches Second Team All-Region for the Men’s All-North Region honors.
Chicago Fire FC II will make a second consecutive appearance in the MLS NEXT Pro Eastern Conference semifinals with a road rematch against New York Red Bulls II on Sunday, Oct. 26. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT at MSU Soccer Park in Montclair, N.J. The MLS NEXT Pro Playoffs will be transmitted globally on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.
