CHICAGO (June 4, 2025) – Chicago Fire FC II midfielder Harold Osorio has been called up to the El Salvador National Team for two 2025 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches as well as the 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup.
Osorio was previously part of El Salvador’s 2021 squad that participated in FIFA World Cup qualifying, but did not see minutes during the qualifying cycle. He was then part of the 2023 Concacaf Gold Cup squad, earning minutes against Martinique and Panama during the Group stage of the regional tournament. Osorio has eight senior national team caps for El Salvador after making his debut as an 18-year-old in a scoreless draw against Costa Rica on Aug. 22, 2021.
El Salvador kicks off World Cup qualifying against Anguilla at 2 p.m. CT on June 7 at the Raymond E. Guishard Technical Center in The Valley, Anguilla. La Selecta will then host Suriname at 8 p.m. CT on June 10 at the Estadio Cuscatlán in San Salvador, El Salvador.
The team will then travel to the United States where it has been placed in Group B with Canada, Curaçao and Honduras. El Salvador’s group stage begins against Curaçao at 7:15 p.m. CT on June 17 at Paypal Park in San Jose, Calif., before taking on Honduras at 9 p.m. CT on June 21 at Shell Energy Stadium in Houston. The final Group B match will kick off at 9 p.m. CT on June 24 against Canada, also at Shell Energy Stadium.
