CHICAGO (April 4, 2024) - Chicago Fire FC II today announced that goalkeeper Patrick Los was named MLS NEXT Pro Goalkeeper of the Month, following his play in the month of March. Los becomes the first Chicago Fire FC II player to win a monthly MLS NEXT Pro award.

Los, 16, has started in goal for both regular season matches for Chicago Fire FC II. In his first two outings, the Academy product made 11 saves, including an eight save performance in the 1-1 draw against Philadelphia Union II on March 28 at SeatGeek Stadium. Los would lift Chicago to the extra point in both contests, stopping three penalty kicks in two matches to give Chicago an unbeaten start to the 2024 season.

In addition to his play at the MLS NEXT Pro level, Los came in as a substitution for goalkeeper Spencer Richey in the opening round of the 2024 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. In his U.S. Open Cup debut, Los logged 45 minutes of action in the historic competition.

Earlier in March, Los represented the U.S. U-17 Men’s Youth National Team in a domestic training camp from March 10-15 in West Palm Beach, Fla. It was the third national team assignment for Los, having previously participated in an international training camp that saw him in the goal for a 2-1 victory in a friendly against the Japan U-16 team on May 31, 2023.
