Chicago Fire FC II Forward Omari Glasgow Called Up to Guyana National Team

CHICAGO (Oct. 11, 2023) - Chicago Fire FC II today announced that winger Omari Glasgow was called in to represent the Guyana Men’s National Team in the CONCACAF Nations League from Oct. 14-17. The international competition is currently in its third and fourth matchdays of group stage play, with Guyana hosting a pair of matches against Puerto Rico.

The Golden Jaguars will be continuing group stage action, opening their international window against Puerto Rico on Saturday, Oct. 14 at the St. Kitts & Nevis FA Technical Center in Basseterre, Saint Kitts and Nevis. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. CT. Three days later, Guyana will face Puerto Rico once again on Tuesday, Oct. 17 at the SKNFA Technical Center at 3 p.m. CT.

The matches hold significant magnitude for both sides, with the two teams tied for the lead in the League B, Group D standings. Puerto Rico currently holds the tiebreaker with goal differential.

Glasgow, 19, is coming off an impressive 2023 season with Chicago Fire FC II. In 21 appearances, the Guyanese winger recorded five goals and six assists en route to the first postseason berth in franchise history. His six assists were second best on the roster, sitting only one behind midfielder Luka Prpa’s seven. In his last appearance with the Golden Jaguars, Glasgow recorded a hat-trick in the 5-1 victory over Antigua and Barbuda on Sept. 9 at the ABFA Technical Centre in Piggotts, Antigua & Barbuda.
