Chicago Fire Academy goalkeeper Damian Las was in net for the U.S. Under-17 Men's National Team for it's final matchup of the 2018 Nike Friendlies on Sunday night, a 1-1 draw with Brazil.

Making his second start in the tournament's three matches, Las was credited with several big stops to help the Americans secure a point and lock up a second-place finish in this year's event. In the sixth minute, Las denied Brazil's first big scoring opportunity by getting his hands on a Gabriel Silva attempt from close range and deflecting it over the bar to keep things scoreless. Las additionally showed up when it mattered late, making key stops at Brazil pushed for a winner.

Goals were scored by Gianluca Busio for the Americans in first-half stoppage time, and Brazil's Ivonei in the 84th minute.

The U.S. finished the friendlies with five points, two behind tournament winners Portugal. For more on the 2018 Nike International Friendlies, visit ussoccer.com.
