NEW YORK (May 30, 2018) – The Independent Panel, consisting of one representative from the United States Soccer Federation, one representative from the Canadian Soccer Association, and one representative from the Professional Referee Organization, has unanimously rescinded the one-game suspension and accompanying fine for the red card issued to Chicago Fire midfielder Mohammed Adams for violent conduct in the 89th minute of Chicago’s match against Orlando City SC on May 26 (VIDEO).

As a result of the Chicago Fire appeal, Adams is eligible to play in the Fire’s next regular season game on May 30 against the Philadelphia Union.

Each Club is entitled to two unsuccessful appeals per season, including playoffs. Since Chicago’s appeal was successful, the team maintains its two unsuccessful appeals for any future dismissals in the 2018 season.
