It was a near-perfect day for the Chicago Fire Academy on Sunday, going undefeated in the home-opening weekend of their 2017-18 U.S. Soccer Development Academy season.

The academy welcomed visitors FC United to Bridgeview for five matches, and walked away with a 4-0-1 record by the time play concluded on Sunday afternoon.

The Fire U-15s set the tone early, starting things off with a 2-0 shutout victory on the strength of goals from Javier Casas and Brian Gutierrez.

The U-17s were next up, and kept things going with a 4-1 victory of their own. Stefan Imbronjev bagged a brace, and goals from Jayson Iniguez and Jedidiah McCloud polished things off at the Toyota Park turf field.

In the biggest win of the day, the CFSA U-19s put on a show against their FC United counterparts. Victor Bezerra paved the way with a pair of goals, while Eduardo Garcia and Gilberto Angeles each chipped in one of their own in a 4-0 shutout victory.

Titus Wilson provided the firepower for the Fire U-13s, as he helped his side secure the win with both goals in a 2-0 finish.

In Sunday's final match, the Fire U-14s earned a share of the result with Max Viera providing their lone finish in a 1-1 draw.

The Academy is back in action this weekend, as they hit the road to Ohio for matches against the Columbus Crew SC DA on Saturday, Sept. 16. Be sure to follow @ChiFireAcademy on Twitter for photos, score updates, and more.
