MLS unveils jerseys for #MLSAllStar Game in Chicago

The 2017 MLS All-Star Game presented by Target is just five weeks from descending on the Chicago lakefront, and now we know what the players facing Real Madrid will be wearing.

MLS on Monday unveiled the adidas jerseys that the All-Star team will sport on Aug. 2 when facing Real Madrid at Soldier Field in Chicago (8 pm CT | FS1, UniMás). The MLS-based players will wear a navy blue shirt with white trimming on the sleeves and collar, but the most unique aspect of the top will be the 19 large stars and three maple leafs -- representative of the league's 22 clubs -- that run down from the right shoulder.

In addition to the Target logo in the center and three red stars representing the motto "Club, Country, Community" on the top of the back, the jersey also features the distinctive Chicago municipal device incorporated into a 2017 MLS All-Star Game mark on the shirt's jock tag. Representative of the three branches of the Chicago River, the municipal device has been an official city mark since 1917 and is ubiquitous throughout the Windy City.

As an added bonus, the shirts also harken back to the memorable kits worn by the U.S. Men's National Team in 1994 FIFA World Cup, the opening ceremonies for which were held at Soldier Field.

Chicago Fire head coach Veljko Paunovicwill direct the MLS All-Stars against defending European champions Real Madrid in the annual mid-summer soccer celebration.

This limited edition authentic adidas 2017 MLS All-Star jersey will be available to fans in attendance at the MLS All-Star Game. For replica jerseys and other MLS All-Star merchandise, visit MLSStore.com.
