Fire hold firm in top four of latest MLS Power Rankings

Power Rankings

It's no secret that the Fire felt they could have come away with more than just a share of the result in Sunday's 0-0 draw at Orlando City, after the hosts were shown a red card in each half. Nevertheless, with a point in hand, the club extended its unbeaten run to six matches, and they remain in second place in the Eastern Conference table heading into the weekend.

As a result of Sunday's level finish, Chicago checks in at No. 4 in MLSsoccer.com's most recent Power Rankings. Here's what league observers had to say about the club's current placement:

"A point on the road in MLS is nothing to turn your nose up at ... unless you get it against nine men. Still, it's a blip on the radar when you look at the team's recent run."

Head coach Veljko Paunovic and his side resume their MLS campaign this Saturday, as Eastern Conference expansion side Atlanta United FC visit Toyota Park for the first time (3 pm CT, Unimas).
