Nine days after making his first appearance for the Chicago Fire, striker David Arshakyan added another significant debut to his resumé Sunday, starting and earning his first senior international cap in Armenia's 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying match vs. Denmark.

Playing in Copenhagen in the first group stage match for both sides, Arshakyan played 70 minutes in a contest ultimately won, 1-0, by the hosts. Denmark and Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen delivered the game's only goal in the 17th minute.

Signed by Chicago on August 3, Arshakyan debuted for the Fire on August 27, playing 34 minutes off the bench in a road loss to D.C. United.
